The SARS-CoV-2 Rapid Antigen Test is a rapid chromatographic immunoassay for the qualitative detection of specific antigens of SARS-Cov-2 present in the human nasopharynx.

This point of care test is designed for use by clinical professionals (Doctors/Practice Nurse/Employer Occupational Health departments etc.) It is intended to detect the antigen from the SARS-CoV-2 virus in individuals suspected of infection with COVID-19.

How to use:

• Step 1 - Insert a sterile swab into the patient’s nostril, then slowly rotate to absorb secretions.
• Step 2 - Add 8-9 drops of the Extraction Solution into the Extraction tube.
• Step 3 - Place the swab specimen into the Extraction tube. Roll the swab at least 10 times while pressing the swab against the sides and bottom of the tube to remove as much liquid as possible from the swab. Then press the cap tightly on to the tube.
• Step 4 - Add 2 drops of the extracted sample to the specimen well of the test cassette.
• Step 5 - The test result will be read to read at 15 minutes

A positive test is indicated by a coloured line appearing in the top section at points C and T of the result window.
